The UA is responsible for monitoring institutional compliance with SACSCOC requirements for faculty credentials.
For each course the University offers, the University must demonstrate that the instructor is sufficiently qualified by documenting his/her credentials.

Other Credentials
Instructors may be qualified to teach a course based on other credentials such as research expertise, professional experience, certifications, professional licensure, honors, awards, publications, creative work, etc. These must be justified in writing and supported with documentation (for example, a CV detailing research publications and presentations in the course area) and kept on file in the College/School.
Teaching Assistants
All teaching assistants, regardless of academic credentials, must have direct supervision by a faculty member experienced in the teaching discipline, regular in-service training, and planned and periodic evaluations. Departments should complete the TA Credentials and Evaluation Form for approval for TAs that require written justification of other credentials.
